Your Brain’s Hard Work

Be Aware of Your Brain!

Brain

The brain

Your brain is well and healthy. It extends from the top of your skull to the beginning of your neck. Most of the time, it behaves normally and gives little concern.

But I had a stroke! With a stroke, the brain behaves abnormally.

Beth had left me in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, on Monday morning. I was ready to drive home. After charging my car just once on the way, I got here about 2 pm on Monday afternoon, June 22.

The next day Tuesday, about 10 am, I was doing my Pilates. I suddenly felt dizzy and unresponsive. Somehow I managed to call 911 and tell them how to get into the house. I do not remember the rest of the call, or how I got to Norwalk Hospital and how I ended up at Danbury Hospital!

My somewhat fuzzy brain still has difficulty introducing some major concepts, but for the most part I am in a good place.

I am recovered enough that I have given up the position of board president for the current year. My daughter says I need to spend that time gearing up. For the members, the time I won’t spend in detailed discussions about what is coming is a good thing! My board members say I’ll be part of the board but not making any major discussions for the remainder.

I do have a book due on September 1.

But I’ve also written to the editor to explain that I am temporarily indisposed. I have about 30,000 words left to write, and need to have more recipes written down for that. I am hoping that my diligence in writing to him and to the other editors will facilitate my request to him.

Farm-Fresh Produce on An App

A Nigerian tech start up is connecting farmers to buyers, “via an online platform that improves market access, shortens the farm-to-table time, and cuts food waste.”

With an app that launched in August 2019, Agriple allows farmers to upload pictures of their farm produce with the prices. They sell to buyers in many parts of the country.

“Ours is a farm-to-table service that delivers cheaper produce to businesses and homes,” the app Agriple says.

They received their agreement with a franchise partner last week and are looking for other franchises.

For the Next Election

Every well-meaning Nigerian should pay attention. “The 2023 presidency of Igbo ancestry will heal the breaches of the past.”

I am assured that the next presidential aspirant will be an Igbo. With the long lead time, the next presidential aspiration begins now!
