Photo for my header

I’ve been searching for photos to use in my header. I found some lovely photos of textiles and beads, but they’re not mine. I have contacted one owner to see if I can use her beautiful textile photo. It’s a traditional Igbo fabric with blue designs on white. Meanwhile, what you see are my own beads which I photographed. I hope you like them.

I love the beads I’ve bought over many years, mostly  in Jankara market in Lagos. They are trade beads brought into Nigeria over the last few centuries. They were already getting harder to find the last time I was in the market, probably in the 1980’s. I wonder if any are available now. Maybe I’ll venture to Jankara on my next trip to Nigeria.

If you have a photo you think is appropriate and you’d let me use it, please email me at conyemelukwe@gmail.com.
